PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium - manganese oxide for lithium secondary battery positive electrode and its manufacturing method wherein the charge-discharge cyclic characteristics, in particular the cyclic characteristic in a high-temperature atmosphere, is enhanced using LiXMn2O4-ZFZ of spinell structure as a positive electrode active material. SOLUTION: The lithium - manganese oxide for lithium secondary battery positive electrode has a spinell structure expressed by LiXMn2O4-ZFZ, (provided that 1.12<=X<=1.20 and 0<Z<0.16) prepared from electrolyzed or chemically synthesized manganese dioxide, lithium salt, and fluorides, wherein the lattice constant lies within the range 8.220-8.230 Å. |
