PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for displaying inclined video equipment capable of displaying the inclination of a video equipment main body against a horizontal axis on a monitor screen, and correcting the inclination in a light and compact constitution. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an inclination detecting means 5 for detecting the inclination of a video equipment main body, an angle of inclination calculating means 4 for calculating the inclination information corresponding to a detection signal outputted from the inclination detecting means 5, a display means 6 for displaying the inclination information calculated by the angel calculating means 4 on the monitor screen, and a display selecting means 15 for selecting whether or not to display the inclination information on the monitor screen, and for outputting the selection signal to the display means 6.
