PURPOSE: A shaving head and process for peeling of cylinders, cylinder tubes and the like is provided to eliminate errors in roundness as far as possible, and to prevent the occurrence of helical waves. CONSTITUTION: In order to eliminate errors in roundness and the occurrence of helical waves, a shaving head(9) is provided with at least three peeling blades(10) arranged in a radially displaceable manner in the shaving head. With this shaving head, both the requirement for self-centering of the peeling blade set as well as the requirement for circular peeling geometry with consistent cutting depth are fulfilled. |
