PURPOSE: An ibuprofen tablet obtained by dissolving S(+)-ibuprofen in a small amount of a solvent, absorbing in an absorbent and then adding a quick acting disintegrating agent is provided which exhibits better stability and higher elution speed than solid formulations containing S(+)-ibuprofen as an effective component. CONSTITUTION: S(+)-ibuprofen is subjected to dissolving in 1 to 10% by weight of a solvent, absorbing in an absorbent and mixing with a quick acting disintegrating agent. The solvent and absorbent are contained in an amount of 1 to 10% by weight and 5 to 50% by weight respectively, based on the amount of the S(+)-ibuprofen. The solvent is selected from diethylene glycol monoethylether, low molecular weight liquid polyethylene glycol and propylene glycol.
