PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To know communication loading conditions at a terminal for improving the efficiency of communication resources. SOLUTION: A TA 20 has a multiplexed communication controller 21, a communication load information controller 22 and terminal I/F units 231, 232-23n; the communication controller 21 interfaces an ISDN line 11 for controlling communication operations, including an ISDN line control and a PPP multiplexed communication, the information controller 22 monitors ISDN line data being transmitted/received over the ISDN line 11 through the communication controller 21 and terminal data being transmitted to/received from each PPP terminal 21-3n through the terminal I/F 231-23n, thereby acquiring and storing communication load information of the PPP communication data; and the information controller 22 outputs communication load information to the terminal I/F 231-23n, when receiving a communication load information request from each PPP terminal 31-3n through the terminal I/F 231-23n.
