PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric sounding body element that can reduce current consumption without decreasing a sound pressure level. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric sounding body element is provided with a piezoelectric substrate 33 on both surfaces of which electrodes 31, 32 are formed and with a diaphragm 35 to which the piezoelectric substrate 33 is joined, the electrode 31 is formed on the diaphragm side of the piezoelectric substrate 3 to be a mesh and the occupied area of the mesh electrode 31 is 58% of the diaphragm side area of the piezoelectric substrate 33 or more.
