PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity receiver that integrally conducts diversity reception and error correction decoding having been independently processed so as to obtain a high gain. SOLUTION: First respective component receivers 310, 320 demodulate received signals and use error correction decoders 316, 326 to obtain soft outputs. Then the soft output from one of the component receivers 310, 320 is given to the error correction decoder of the other component receiver as an apriori probability information. The error correction decoders 316, 326 of the respective component receivers 310, 320 again apply error correction decoding to the same information. The decoding processing is repeated for some times in this way and a selection/synthesis unit 340 finally synthesizes the respective soft outputs and the synthesized value is discriminated and then data are obtained.
