PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided, enables to increase a total display area considerably on the basis of a screen of the same size. CONSTITUTION: X and Y sustain electrode pairs(12, 14) are spaced apart so as to have a stripe shape on one surface of a front base plate(11). A front dielectric layer(15) is coated on the surface of the front base plate so that the X and Y sustain electrode pairs are covered. Address electrodes(32) are vertical to the X and Y sustain electrodes, and are spaced apart so as to have a stripe shape on one surface of a rear base plate(31). A rear dielectric layer(33) is coated on the surface of the rear base plate so that the address electrode pairs are covered. A plurality of bulkheads(36) define an interface space between the front and rear base plates so as to have a waffle shape, and define a plurality of display cells corresponding to the X and Y sustain electrode pairs. A fluorescent substance(37) is coated in each display cell. A plurality of auxiliary scan electrodes(60) are disposed serially between X and Y sustain electrodes of each pair, and has a stripe shape extended along the front base plate. |
