<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-proof connector for an electric wire relay wherein it is possible to surely obtain waterproofness by a simple structure without injecting adhesive or using a heat-shrinkable film. SOLUTION: This consists of main bodies 1 made of insulating synthetic resin, which are formed by upper and lower main body structural bodies 1a, 1b cut in halves and mutually separable, and contacts 2 made of conductor metals built in the main bodies 1. These are formed so that the upper and lower main body structural bodies 1a, 1b will be tightly bound by inserting and penetrating and spirally screwing up a bolt 4 through a bolt insertion hole 3 to penetrate through the upper and lower bodies. Further, this is installed with pairs of parallel grooves 6, 6 for wire-pinching to pinch covered wires 5, 5 between contact faces of the main body structural bodies 1a, 1b facing each other from the upper and the lower ones. The contacts 2 are arranged to spread over these grooves 6, 6 and also installed with cut blades 2a which respectively contact with core wires 5b to be connected by cutting insulating layers 5a of the covered wires 5, 5 inserted into the grooves 6, 6 when the main body structural bodies 1a, 1b are tightly stuck to tip end parts. The whole outer peripheral faces of the contacts 2 or the whole peripheral faces except the cut blade parts 2a are coated with insulating coating films 2b made of such as rubber or the like.</p> |
