<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment capable of automatically calculating the allowable number of storage cells in a fluctuation absorption buffer and setting it to the fluctuation absorption buffer. SOLUTION: This communication equipment is provided with a cell buffer for storing cells that arrive, measures the to-and-fro propagation delay time of the cell generated at the time of arriving through a network, calculates the allowable number of the storage cells in the cell buffer by using the measured to-and-fro propagation delay time, sets it to the cell buffer and thus, absorbs the fluctuation of the cell delay generated at the time of arriving through the network.</p> |
