PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device for minimum frequency of adjusting process for an image reading device while accurate and quick adjustment is allowed. SOLUTION: Assuming that a manipulatable value and an adjustment target value changed by manipulating the manipulatable value are provided. The design change amount of the adjustment target value when the manipulatable value is manipulated is stored in advance as a unit adjustment change amount. If the actually measured value of the unit adjustment change amount is different from the design value, the stored unit adjustment change amount is updated to the actually measured value, and the updated unit adjustment change amount is used for adjusting the adjustment target value.
