PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cash receipt and disbursement system which can receive and pay cash, without requiring troublesome input operations or setting limit on quantity. SOLUTION: Respective teller terminals 11a to 11y are connected to dedicated cash processing machines 13a to 13xy for automatically handling cash within a fixed limit. Furthermore, the teller terminals 11a to 11y can be connected to a common open receipt and disbursement machine 15 via a LAN 14. For example, when the teller terminal 11a needs to handle cash exceeding the fixed limit, rather than the cash processing machine 13, the open receipt and disbursement machine 15 is selected. Consequently, the open receipt and disbursement machine 15 is connected to the teller terminal 11a, and the cash can be handled without limit on quantity through the operation on the teller terminal 11a.
