PURPOSE: A system and method for manufacturing character goods using the Internet is provided to offer suitable characters after photographing a user's face with a PC camera and to combine them with goods. CONSTITUTION: A system for manufacturing character goods using the Internet consist of a PC camera(5), a user PC(10), a web server(15), and a character goods manufacturer(60). The PC camera(5) photographs an Internet user's face. The user PC(10) stores the digital image photographed through the PC camera(5), and accesses the web server(15) through the Internet. The web server(15) is comprised of a communication module(20), a character generation program(30), an object DB(45), a character accessory DB(50), a character DB(75), a character goods DB(55), a combined goods DB(35), a member DB(40), and a server control part(25). The communication module(20) transmits and receives data with the user PC(10). The character generation program(30) partially objectifies the user's face transmitted from the user PC(10) and completes a character image. The object DB(45) stores the objectified data and makes the user's character created by the control of the character generation program(30). The character accessory DB(50) stores various databases necessary for character accessories. The character DB(75) stores various characters. The character goods DB(55) stores various databases about goods. The combined goods DB(35) stores goods combined with characters. The member DB(40) stores personal information for each member. The server control part(25), controls all the functions of the web server(15), makes the final character goods displayed through the reading and synthesis of each DB.
