PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently prevent a vending machine from being illegally used, such as the use of improper coins which are wrongly recognized as being proper or stealing of them. SOLUTION: The vending machine 11 decides whether a coin is proper or improper, according to a picked-up image of the top or reverse side of the inserted coin. Furthermore, the vending machine 11, once having detected illegal usage, sends data including a picked-up image of the circumference of the machine itself to a remote managing device 12 via a mobile packet network 13. The managing device 12 sends the data sent from the vending machine 11 to security facilities 16, corresponding to the vending machine 11.
