PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional remote controller for an AV unit that an operator has had to control entry of characters in the case of entering the characters to the AV unit such as a video tape recorder while viewing a large screen of a television receiver or the like and there is no interchangeability on operation among remote controllers when the operator possesses different AV units because each AV unit is provided with an exclusive remote controller. SOLUTION: In order to solve the tasks above, a mobile terminal such as a mobile phone and a Personal Digital (Data) Assistants(PDA) can be used for the remote controller for an AV unit. Thus, the remote controller for the AV unit can be provided with excellent user-friendliness by means of familiar operability for character entry especially to realize unified operations among the AV units.
