PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information notification device which enables a center system-side to grasp position information precision corresponding to the necessity of precision and communication cost to be small by informing a center system of a position based on a necessary condition by the automatic judgment of a mobile object-side. SOLUTION: The transmitting period of position information corresponding to the position where the mobile object exists is registered. The transmitting period corresponding to position information that a position information detector such as GPS detects is read. Position information of the mobile object where the device is loaded is transmitted to the center system at every transmitting period. When the mobile object is detected to be in a stop state, the transmission of position information is suppressed.
