PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical disk device in a miniaturized and inexpensive structure, having high safety capable of surely stopping the function of an optical head when a tray is out. SOLUTION: In the optical disk device equipped with a tray 103 for storing an optical disk on it in the device body and with a rotary mechanism unit 104 for holding the stored optical disk, floating it from the tray 103 to a prescribed position and rotating it; a portion of the signal line (circuit) 112 is cut which is formed on the rotary mechanism unit 104 so as to drive the laser light source of the optical head, while a signal line element 113 corresponding to the cut portion is provided on the lower face of the tray 103. If the tray 103 is stored in a prescribed position inside the device body 101, and if the rotary mechanism unit 104 is at a prescribed rising position, the partly omitted signal line 112 on the unit 104 side and the signal line element 113 on the tray 103 side come into contact with each other at two points to form a circuit, driving the optical head. On the other hand, if the tray 103 is out, the circuit is disconnected, stopping the function of the optical head. |
