PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data collection method which can efficiently collect meter-reading data, etc., by utilizing PHSs. SOLUTION: In an automatic meter-reading system 1, meter-reading data of meter devices 7 are transmitted from respective wireless communication apparatuses (PHS wireless slave stations) 8 to a PHS wireless master station 6 by extension mode. The PHS wireless master station 6 accumulates the received meter-reading data in a data storage device 62 and transmits the stored data, in batch to a headquarter station 3 via a PHS public circuit. The meter- reading data of the respective meter devices can be collected efficiently into the headquarter station, and further, power consumption for the PHS wireless communication can be suppressed. |
