SEQUENTIAL SCAN CONVERTING CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a significant deterioration of image quality results from erroneous detection of a movement vector when an interpolation scanning line of sequential scan conversion is generated through movement compensation of the movement vector. SOLUTION: Movement vector compensation is performed after conventional sequential scan conversion. If a significant error exists between movement compensation results and sequential scan conversion results, the movement compensation results are not employed but conventional sequential scan conversion output is employed as it is. If the error is insignificant, the movement compensation results are employed.
