PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup system, for a telephone call, which can hear about a matter from an originator and which can prevent backup lines from becoming simultaneously defective by a method, where even when telephone calls or facsimile messages which exceed the number of receptionists or installed devices are received, the telephone calls or the like exceeding the number are transferred to other call centers or the like. SOLUTION: The backup system for the telephone call or the like is composed of a private branch exchange 2a, for a receiving-source call center which receives the telephone call, a device 1a, for a receiving-source facsimile center, which receives a facsimile messages, a private branch exchange 2b for a transfer-destination call center as a transfer destination and a device 1b for a transfer-destination facsimile center as a transfer destination. In the backup system, the telephone call or the facsimile message to the private branch exchange 2a or the device 1a is transferred to the private branch exchange 2b or the device 1b, so as to be backed up. The private branch exchange 2a and the device 1a are connected to a telephony server 3a.
