PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-sized flat p late laminated solid electrolyte capacitor, having superior high-frequency characteristics, high withstand voltage, moisture resistance and a high capacity, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The solid electrolyte capacitor, having a solid electrolyte layer formed by laminating a cathode foil 2 and an anode foil 1 via a separator 3 and polymerizing a 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene by an oxidizer under a pressurized state by heating between both the foils, is sealed with a laminated sheet.
