TENSION-RESISTANT LIGHTNING ARRESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension-resistant lightning arrester, which has a space- saving and simple structure mounting an arrester to an insulator on a power line. SOLUTION: An arrester 4 is electrically connected to a grounding side 2 of a tension-resistant insulator 1 mounted on a power line through a fitting metal fixture 3; the arrester 4, hanged to the tension-resistant insulator 1 with the fitting metal fixture 3, is located parallel to the insulator; and an arc horn 10 extending from a feeding terminal 8 of the arrester 4 is located against the tension-resistant insulator 1 across an air gap 9.
