PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely discriminate truth/false, even if the fallen position of a coin is different in a vertical drop type coin selector. SOLUTION: Coin sensors 1 and 2 with coils wound around cores are located opposite to each other at positions, through which right and left ends of a coin C pass, the truth/false of the coin is discriminated by detecting a voltage when the coin passes. The surface of the core facing the coin is formed into rectangular shape.
