PURPOSE: The apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving vehicle information is provided to be capable of sending accident information by immediately connecting to a control center when an accident happens. CONSTITUTION: A running information detecting part(10) detects running information of a vehicle, and a position detecting part(11) receives a signal from a satellite to detect a current position of a vehicle. A control unit(12) calculates a signal detected by the detecting part(10) to judge whether a vehicle is normal. The control unit(12) outputs the judgement result with the current vehicle position. A transceiver(13) transmits a signal from the control unit(12). A signal generator(14) is connected to the control unit, and generates a danger signal.
