The equipment for installation of shaft covers in road construction incorporates a height adjustment device (7) laid on the upper edge of a shaft pipe (1). A shaft collar (2) is installed on the height adjustment device. Where necessary, a casing (11,12) is incorporated, extending from the inside of the shaft pipe to the inside of the shaft collar, which between a basic layer (2) surrounding the shaft pipe fills out with at least one support layer (8,9) an intermediate space between a lining (10) and the shaft collar. The height adjustment device has several adjustable distance holders, preferably in the form of adjustment screws.
