PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplex transmitter suitable for transmission of signals at an ultrahigh speed and a multiplex transmission method, to provide a recording medium for recording a multiplex transmission control software program and to realize a channel identification function being a requirement for ultrahigh speed transmission at a low cost. SOLUTION: The transmitter is provided with a control pulse generating circuit 30 that generates a transmitter side synchronizing signal, a transmitter side synchronization circuit 10 that controls timing when a low-speed frame signal is outputted so as to deviate phases by each channel, and a multiplexer circuit 20 that applies time division multiplex processing to the signal for each channel to generate a high-speed frame signal. A receiver is provided with a demultiplexer circuit 50 that demultiplexes the high-speed frame signal to generate low speed frame signals of each channel, a low speed frame synchronization circuit 60 that processes the demultiplexed low-speed frame signals to generate a receiver side synchronizing signal synchronously with the low speed frame by each channel, a switch 70 that connects the demultiplexed low speed frame signal outputs of each channel to each predetermined terminal of the channels, and a switch control circuit 90 that controls the switch on the basis of the receiver side synchronizing signal.
