<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of anomalies in a video and sound when switching coding equipment. SOLUTION: In a switching system for coding equipment, a switching control circuit 16 controls a packet selection circuit 14 to select a video TS packet from a transport stream produced by a standby decoder after the time of detection of a TS packet including a PES header of video information by a first header detection circuit 6, and controls the selection circuit 14 so as to select a sound TS packet from a packet stream produced by the standby decoder after the time of detection of a TS packet including a PES header of sound information by the detection circuit 6. Therefore, switching is always performed in synchronism with the TS packet including the PES header information, so that reproductions can be always performed with appropriate header information.</p> |
