PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate remote operations using mobile communication devices. SOLUTION: Connection states between portable terminal devices 10 and 11, which are mobile communication devices and household electrical appliances 14-17 are assessed. A direct communication means with the electrical appliance by the wireless connection or an indirect communication means via a public circuit 12 and a telephone 13 can be automatically selected according to the connection state assessment results and the remote operation can be practiced by the selected communication means. |
