PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge device which can prevent time-out to be generated in the case of long distance connection via a network. SOLUTION: This bridge device relays a control command, which is transmitted from an operating apparatus (C1) to an apparatus (C2) to be operated through a network circuit, containing at least one high speed serial bus. The bridge device is provided with a storing means (5) for obtaining the state of the apparatus to be operated and storing the state, and a responding means (3) for responding to a state obtaining requirement from the operation apparatus, by using the state of the apparatus to be operated which is stored in the storing means.
