PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surveillance system which can prevent or give prompt attention to an event to be under surveillance. SOLUTION: The surveillance system has an alarm which produces alarm signals to an object of surveillance, a communication device, and a control section which is connected to the alarm and the communication device and transmits the indication that the alarm signals have been produced via the communication device when the alarm has produced the alarm signals.
