PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor element of a thin, low-height, laminated type which is superior in high-frequency characteristic and large in electrostatic capacity, and to provide a method for manufacturing the capacitor element. SOLUTION: A cathode electrode foil 2 and an anode electrode foil 1 having a through-hole therein are laminated via a separator, a 3,4-ethylenedioxytiophene oxidizing agent is provided between the both electrode foils, heated and polymerized under a pressure, re-anodized under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, subjected to water-content removal, thus forming a solid electrolytic layer.
