PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distribution system that properly distributes contents to a portable wireless terminal without error. SOLUTION: When the portable wireless terminal makes a distribution request to a server, the server discriminates a reception environment of the portable wireless terminal and distributes contents to the portable wireless terminal when the reception environment is excellent, but the server does not distribute the contents when the reception environment is not excellent. In this case the server stops the distribution itself or the server executes the discrimination of the reception environment for each prescribed period and executes the distribution when the server discriminates that the reception environment is excellent or the server executes the discrimination of the reception environment at a designated point of time after that and the server distributes the contents when the server discriminates that the reception environment is excellent.
