PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone device which locks the terminating answer but enables the terminating answer by a preset method only, thereby preventing an outsider from using it or leaking information in unauthorized manner, to protect privacy, unlike the conventional telephone which has the problem that the lock function is disabled during terminating and an outsider unfairly uses it or leaks information to infringe privacy. SOLUTION: The telephone stores a key operation previously registered by a user f or receiving a termination call during termination answer locking in a termination answering method memory 31. Upon terminating, a termination processing means 22 sets for talking, only when the registered key operation is made, and after the call is ended, recovers the lock.
