PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power loss caused by switching and improve a power conversion efficiency. SOLUTION: A series circuit comprising a 1st choke coil 13, a 1st diode 14 and a 1st half-wave switching device 15 is connected to a DC power supply 11 via the 1st winding 12P1 and 2nd winding 12P2 of the primary winding a transformer 12. A parallel circuit, comprising a 1st capacitor 16 and a 2nd half-wave switching device 17, is connected in parallel with a series circuit comprising the 2nd winding, the 1st choke coil, the 1st diode and the 1st half- wave switching device. Cathode terminals of 2nd and 3rd diodes 18 and 19, whose anode terminals are connected to the respective ends of the secondary winding of the transformer, are connected to each other and a 2nd capacitor 21 for smoothing is connected between both the ends of the 3rd diode via the 2nd choke coil 20. The 1st half-wave switching device practices on/off operations with a prescribed frequency and duty and the 2nd half-wave switching device practices on/off operations with a frequency which is the same as the 1st half- wave switching device and with delay.
