PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reutilize a past setting value, without having to input a setting value again. SOLUTION: The communication data-monitoring device comprises setting means 1 and 3 for enabling an operator to set all setting values required for collecting and displaying communication data such as a data size to be monitored, the conditions of data trace, and the display format of the collected data to the communication data-monitoring device, and a storage means 2 for registering the setting values as an operation environment, and at the same time registering setting values for each communication condition such as transmission rates and protocols and a setting value peculiar to a communication line as each operation environment, thus reflecting the operation environment registered at the storage means 2 in the communication data-collecting device 4, as needed.
