PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a servo error, a device suitable for it, a disk which guarantees the quality of a servo error signal, a servo control method for a disk recording/reproducing device, a method for detecting a tracking error and a method for detecting a tilt error. SOLUTION: In the device for recording/reproducing to/from the disk wherein a regular reference pattern having fixed largeness is recorded in a data region, the servo error of the recording/reproducing device is detected by the ratio of largeness of reproducing signals suitable for the reference patterns which are recorded in at least two mutually separated positions.
