PURPOSE: A method for controlling storage capable of hot-plugging is provided to increase the stability of a system by coping with differences of features in case that a hard disk interface is composed by using a common hard disk interface technology and a technology capable of supporting hot-plugging at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A hard disk module(110) includes a link chip(410), a physical chip(420). The link chip(410) and the physical chip(420) are capable of hot-plugging. A body(150) simply performs a repeating function. The body(150) includes a control unit(430) which wholly manages a physical chip(440) and a hard disk array rack(100). The physical chip(440) of the body(150) supports a plurality of port and performs the repeating function between one or more hard disk modules to be mounted to the hard disk array rack(100) and an IEEE1394 interface of a host. The control unit(430) of the body(150) wholly manages the hard disk array rack(100).
