The door opening control comprises a casing (1) located in an opening in the door wall. A pallet (2) pivoting about an axis (3) in the casing has a gripping part (2a) and a fork (2b). A control cable (6) has an end part (7) which engages the fork. The cable is located in a sleeve ended by a ferrule (5) fixed to the casing. The casing has a front face (1a) in contact with the pallet and a rear face (1b) with fixings for the ferrule. The ferrule comprises a concave portion (5c) with a rib (5d) able to guide the cable end part during its displacement under the action of the pallet fork.
