A coupling element (8) with a radial seal bearing (19) for clamping onto a tubular coupling nose (25), and a gasket (15) inserted between the bearing and the nose, whereby a sealed coupling may be achieved between said element (8) and said nose (25). The element includes a seal holder movable along a plane parallel to the seal bearing (19) between an insertion/removal position in which it is outside the space opposite the bearing (19), and a centred position in which it engages said bearing (19). Said element is useful for connecting a gas supply line to the head of a pressurised gas cylinder.
