The shaft has a radial piece (4) formed by molding. A sleeve part encloses the shaft (1). At least one lever part (6) is formed integrally with the sleeve part. The sleeve part is profiled inside corresponding to the shaft, and secured by frictional forces against displacement in the longitudinal direction of the shaft. An Independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing a switching shaft.
