PURPOSE: A cell gap adjusting apparatus, a pressurizing sealing device and a liquid crystal display manufacturing method are provided to adjust the gap of a liquid crystal cell precisely and promptly by using a supporting unit and a pressurizing unit. CONSTITUTION: A cell gap adjusting device(2) adjusts the cell gap such as thickness between substrates. A liquid crystal cell(1) is formed by injecting liquid crystal between a couple of substrates bonded by inserting a sealing member having the opening in the frame wall. The cell gap adjusting device is composed of a supporting unit(3) having supporting jigs(301a,301b,302a-302e) for clamping liquid crystal cells by fitting and closing seals(32) arranged between the liquid crystal cell and the supporting jig to form the closing space, and a pressurizing unit(50) pressing both outer surfaces of substrates of the liquid crystal cell by hydraulic pressure in the closing space.
