PURPOSE: A mobile telephone terminal having a barcode reader and a driving method therefor are provided to know a total price of bought goods using a mobile telephone terminal. CONSTITUTION: A barcode reader unit(1) reads a barcode(7) formed on a surface of a certain goods and outputs a barcode signal. A CPU(2) receives the barcode signal, generates decoded goods data, performs a certain operation between a plurality of generated goods data, and outputs operation data. A memory unit(3) receives the goods data and the operation data from the CPU(2) and stores the goods data and the operation data. A screen display unit(4) displays the goods data or the operation data on a screen.
