PLASMID INCLUDING HOST TOXIC GENE AS SELECTIVE MARKER AND SELECTION METHOD OF TRANSFORMANT THEREBY

PURPOSE: Provided is a novel plasmid including a host toxic gene, thereby selecting a colony formed by transforming a host cell with the plasmid introducing a foreign gene, as a transformant and making gene cloning possible easily and economically. CONSTITUTION: The plasmid includes a toxic gene which is GST-parE gene and expresses a toxic protein inhibiting the growth of a host when the host is transformed. When a foreign protein is introduced into the gene, the expression of the toxic protein is inhibited to consequently make the host growth possible. Where, the plasmid has at least one restriction site to introduce the foreign gene; and the host is E.coli and its transformant is KCCM-10204.
