The invention relates to a current mode switching controller comprising at least one controllable semiconductor switch (12); an impedance (15); a voltage divider (50); an external control circuit (1, 4, 5) for regulating the voltage and an internal control circuit (5, 7, 19) coupled to the external control circuit (1, 4, 5) and used to regulate the load current, said circuits controlling the controllable semiconductor switch (12) according to the load current (22) and the output potential (3); an integrator (19) producing a control signal (24,40) representing the load current (22) as a result of time integration of the voltage (18), said signal being supplied to the internal control circuit (5, 7, 19) as a control variable; and means (19, 50) for adapting the amplitude of the integrator (19) consisting of at least one transconductance whose value in a transient state is inversely proportional to the output potential (55). The invention also relates to a switched mode power supply unit provided with one such switching controller. |
