A second profiled bar (46) has its end side (64) resting against a first profiled bar (32) and possessing a lengthwise guide (56,58). A connector (1) has a first section (12) connected to the first profiled bar, and a second section (14) place against the guide along which it slides to join it to the second profiled bar. Part (26) of the second section is placed crosswise to the guide's lengthwise direction. The second section has at least one cog (28) gripping behind the second profiled bar.
