A plastic anti-slip mat comprises a plastic layer (2) onto which an adhesive film (1) is laminated to form an upper surface (4). The rear surface (5) of the plastic layer lies in contact with the floor area to be covered. An Independent claim is also included for a process for manufacturing the anti-slip mat involving: (a) melting plastic granules and pressing between rolls to form strip (2); (b) applying adhesive film strip (1) onto the plastic strip and pressing together; and (c) cooling both strips to form a permanent laminate.
