<p>Portable, individualized, hand washing agents dispensers (12) are filled and checked out from a control station (16) to healthcare workers and worn by workers outside their clothing. Unique worker identification signature ID# in magnetic counterpart to bar code, and unique dispenser identification signature ID# in magnetic counterpart bar code are stored in computer memory (17). At patient treatment sites of a hospital in one embodiment, wireless infrared signal transmitters (13) are employed, constantly producing a signal. The signal at each site is different from that at each other site, thus providing a unique ID# identifying each site. Each dispenser includes an infrared signal receiver (31), a hand washing agents dispensing actuator (27) and information storage device (34). The receiver is responsive to reception of the infrared signals to insert into the storage device, an event signal.</p> |
