<p>An infusion and infusion/sampling device for blood circuits outside the body comprises a tubular body (10) which can be inserted in the blood circuit and communicates by means of a radial hole (28) and at least one infusion hole (30A, 30B) with an infusion device, comprises a resilient septum (12), the central portion of which closes the radial hole (28) and which has at least one infusion hole (30A, 30B) aligned with the infusion hole (30A, 30B) formed in the tubular body, the resilient septum (12) being kept in position by a locking nut (14) comprising an axial duct (48) connectable to a supply of infusion solution under pressure and aligned with the radial hole (28), the axial duct (48) terminating in a mouth (52) projecting from the base of the locking nut (14) so as to press in a leaktight manner against the septum (12), the mouth (52) being surrounded by a concentric circular recess (56) from which two radial recesses (58A, 58B) extend as far as the infusion holes (30A, 30B, 38A, 38B) so that, when solution to be infused is supplied through the axial duct (48) at a pressure greater than a predetermined threshold, a portion of septum (12) in contact with the mouth (52) is deformed inwardly relative to the radial hole (28) opening communication through the axial duct (48), the circular recess (56) and the radial recesses (58A, 58B) with the infusion holes (30A, 30B, 38A, 38B) in turn communicating with the axial passage (20) in which the blood-flow circulates. For the withdrawal of samples from the bloodstream, the device comprises a second radial hole (60) closed by a pre-perforated resilient septum (66).</p> |
