The method involves using components present in executable code, each with an input interface and an output interface, by forming a symbol corresponding to a component with the interfaces in a graphical editor, offering a selection possibility for a directed combination of an output interface with an input interface and generating a code combining the components depending on the selected combination. The method involves using components (A,B) present in executable code, each with an input interface (2) in which are defined routines (4) for call up and implementation and an output interface (1) in which are defined data formats for event (3) data and routines for call up but that are not directly contained in the components. The method involves forming a symbol corresponding to a component with the interfaces in a graphical editor, offering a selection possibility for a directed combination of an output interface with an input interface and generating a code combining the components depending on the selected combination. Independent claims are also included for the following: a use of the method for generating control software for telecommunications systems, a computer for implementing the method, a telecommunications system with a control computer programmed to implement the method and a computer program product for implementing the method.
