WEFT CARRYING GRIPPER

PURPOSE: A weft carrying gripper permitting the weft being unwound at a weft feeder to carry to the center of a warp shed and surely take over to a weft drawing gripper operated in accordance with the same is provided which reduces cutting of warp and weft caused by friction and abrasion and prevents release of a part by friction resistance. CONSTITUTION: A weft carrying gripper of shuttleless loom consists of: a body(1) formed in a streamline in a longitudinal direction; a supporter(9) connected to the upper part of the body; a sliding member(11) for supporting a gripper during movement of the gripper; a clamping member(7) movably fixed to the supporter by a fastening member(6); a lever(12) formed by a protrusion(13) at the lower part of a free end part(16); a bar fixed to the supporter; and a plate spring(10) to contact with the protrusion of the lever.
